Synopsis:

Dozens of interactive labs related to Physical Sciences and Mathematics.

Procedure:

  1. Combined with a computer lab this site can change the way you do many labs.
  2. In order to introduce or refine a topic like light or optics have your students go to the computer lab and perform experiments while predicting the results.
  3. Several of the sites have variables that can be easily manipulated, have them predict the outcome.
  4. The activities can be written up as a normal Lab.
Comments:

  • I have found most of my students enjoy manipulating the data just as much as they do playing video games.
  • This site can be used to introduce motion and wave concepts to elementary students by using it as a teacher demonstration.
