Enlist A Superhero

Synopsis:

A complete reading and writing motivation program appropriate for younger elementary students.

Procedure:

1. Before class print a classroom set of the read and write challenge, the door hanger and one of the activities provided.
2. Do one activity and issue your students the challenge to Read Write Now.
3. Give each student a doorhnager to place on their own door at home.
4. Decorate the doorhangers in class and kick off the campaign by placing your doorhanger on the classroom door and read or write with your students.
5. Have them complete the rest of the week's activities at home.
6. Each week check their progress and encourage them to continue by doing a new activity and having a Read Write Now time.
