Virtual States

Synopsis:
This activity can be used in K-12 Social Studies classrooms as a lesson supplement or expanded into several lessons.

Procedure:

1. Have the webcams projected onto a screen as the students come in.
2. Use these to open discussions about the states.
3. The live footage will generate plenty of topics of discussion.
4. This activity can also be used to introduce famous historic figures from the states.
5. Several other resources can then be reached from the site in order to answer student questions or as a lead-in into detailed discussions.
